General Info

Dates:

February 18-20,  2011

Check-in and registration:  Friday, February18, between 2:00 – 5:00 pm

The official program will begin at 5:00 pm

Program ends on Sunday, February 20, at 3:00 pm

Location and Accommodation:

Chaunsey Conference Center in Princeton, NJ  

Accommodation during the weekend is in double-occupancy rooms. Please state your roommate’s name on the registration form. During the registration and check-in procedure, we will gladly accommodate you with a participant of your choice. In case you haven’t had a chance to find a roommate for the weekend, we will “match” you with another participant.

Who Can Register

Registration is open to young adults (college graduates +) ages 25 to 40 from Russian Jewish backgrounds. However, if you’re not in this age group, we will consider exceptions in individual cases.

Participation:

Our schedule is comprised of informal workshops and interactive educational activities. We would be happy to see each person participate in all of the activities.

Food:

Kosher food will be provided.

Shabbat observance:

We view Shabbat as a multi-denominational and pluralistic opportunity for all of us to get together, secular and observant as one. The weekend’s overall framework will be “Shabbat friendly”.


Free time and outdoor activities:

There is a public ice skating facility near the Conference Center that participants can take advantage of during the weekend.

Prices:

At this point subsidies are available for participants from New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. If there will be substantial numbers of participants from other places, we will look for additional subsidies.

Transportation:

All the participants have to take care of their own traveling arrangements; we will provide shuttle service from the train station called “Princeton Junction” to the hotel only. The shuttle will pick up participants from the train station approximately every 30min. The details regarding the schedule will be provided in the nearest future.

For people arriving by flights to NY we suggest:

Fly over to “Newark” airport and from there to take a train to “Princeton Junction”.

Look for:  New Jersey Transit, Northeast Corridor Line. AirTrain shuttle goes from each airport terminal to the Northeast Corridor train line to “Princeton Junction”.  Trains run approximately every 30 min and travel time is 45min.                                                                                                                       

For people arriving from NY we suggest:

Take a train to “Princeton Junction” from Pen Station, NY. For schedule check NJ transit website:  http://www.njtransit.com/sf/sf_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=TrainTo                
Trains run approximately every 30 min and travel time is 1.10 min.
